Together, the two family-owned companies will become a ‘robust’ international player serving the construction, transport and industry markets.

Exlabesa is known as a world leader in the production of aluminium profiles with activities in 40 countries. This includes the UK, Poland, Portugal, Morocco and the US. Flandria Aluminium was launched in 1956 and originally manufactured bicycles, mopeds and lawnmowers. Today, it specialises in the extrusion and recycling of aluminium profiles, catering mainly to Belgium and France.

‘This joining together is a perfect opportunity for our future commercial and industrial development,’ says Flandria Aluminium’s managing director Paul Vandenbroucke. ‘At the same time, it will enable Exbalesa to considerably strengthen its position in France and the Benelux nations.’
